Breadth counts how many stocks are advancing, trading above their moving averages or sitting near their highs, for each NSE index and for sectors. It is computed on the PC from end-of-day prices and uploaded to the site.
Definitions
Advance / decline / unchanged: the close compared with the previous trading day's close.
Above DMA n: the close is above the simple average of the last n closes (5, 50 or 200). A stock counts only once it has n days of history.
52W high / low: the highest high and lowest low over the last 252 trading sessions, today included. "Near" means within 5%. "New high" means today's high is the 52-week high, which needs a full year of history.
Traded value: close × volume added up over the group, in ₹ crore.
Universe
Index groups use today's list of members applied to every past date, so older dates are survivorship-biased: stocks that have since left an index are missing and recent additions are included. "All classified stocks" is every stock in the sector classification file; SME stocks are left out, and where the ISIN list is available only equity shares (ISIN starting INE) are counted.
Sector Rotation
The Relative Rotation Graph uses the common open approximation of the JdK indicators, not the licensed original, so its values can differ slightly from other RRG sites. RS-Ratio is 100 plus the z-score of (sector ÷ benchmark) over the lookback. RS-Momentum is 100 plus the z-score of the rate of change of RS-Ratio. Leading means both are at or above 100, Weakening means ratio at or above 100 with momentum below, Lagging means both below, and Improving means ratio below with momentum at or above 100.
